A case study explains a real project through its context, decisions and outcome. Start with the client’s problem and the constraints, then describe what changed. Make your role clear if other teams contributed strategy, content, code or marketing.
A practical approach
Results need evidence. If you cannot verify commercial impact, discuss observable deliverables such as a clearer product structure or an editing workflow the team can use. If metrics are available, explain their source and measurement period rather than presenting unexplained percentages.
Your checklist
- Confirm permission to name the client and show work.
- Explain one important decision and its trade-off.
- Separate measured outcomes from client feedback.
For example
A redesign case study could compare the old navigation with the new product groups and explain the buyer task behind that change. It does not need an invented revenue uplift to be informative.
